Sweet & Spicy Maple Walnuts
Maple syrup, sesame seeds, sumac, and cayenne pepper create layers of flavor in this Whole Foood Plant Based (WFPB) snack

- 3 c walnuts
- 1/4 c white sesame seeds
- 1/4 c maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 Tbsp sumac can sub lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric (optional)
- salt to taste
Preheat oven to 325
Toss walnuts with olive oil and maple syrup
Sprinkle spiced and sesame seeds, mix well
Roast in the oven for 15 minutes or until carmelized, being careful not to burn them.
