Thai Basil Beef

Ingredients
  

Sauce- prep and set aside

  • 3 Tbsp Brown sugar can sub 2 T white sugar, 1 T molasses
  • 5 Tbsp Soy sauce use Tamari for Gluten Free
  • 2 Tbsp Water
  • 2 Tbsp Fish sauce
  • 2 tsp Sambal Olek chile paste

Ingredients

  • 6 mini peppers, sliced can sub 2 bell peppers
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch fresh basil, sliced into ribbins

Serve with

  • 1 lime, squeezed
  • cauliflower rice or white rice

Instructions
 

  • Mix sauce ingredients and set aside
  • Slice peppers and onions, mince garlic and set aside
  • Slice beef steak or crumble ground beef and cook
  • Add mixed vegetable to meat and cook about 4 minutes till tender crisp
  • Add sauce and simmer 1-2 minutes
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil and squeeze of lime
  • Serve over cauliflower rice, white rice, or combination of both
